Mr. Dennis Paul Huitt, age 62 of Calvert City, KY passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence. Born June 4, 1954 in Benton, KY he was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union 184 and was a member of First Baptist Church Calver City. He was an umpire for the Kentucky High School Athletics Association. He also served honorably in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Huitt is survived by his son Kevin Barker of Boaz, KY and his sister, Kathy Huitt of Pawleys Island, SC.
Mr. Huitt was preceded in death by his father Paul Everett Huitt and his mother Hazel (Oakley) Huitt who passed away several days later on Monday, February 27, 2017.
Mrs. Huitt was a dietary aide at Lourdes Hospital and also a member of First Baptist Church Calvert City.
Mrs. Huitt is survived by her daughter, Kathy Huitt of Pawleys Island, SC; one sister Lilian Dees of Calvert City, KY; 3 grandsons, Chad Lamb, Kris Lamb and Kevin Barker and daughter in law Sandy Huitt Barker.
A joint memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Lamb officiating.
Visitation will be held after 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 until the service time at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
