Mr. Hayden E. Cassity, age 81 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, KY. He was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Cassity was retired from BF Goodrich and was a lifelong Farmer raising primarily Charolais cattle.
Born Thursday, April 2, 1936 in Trigg County, KY, he was the son of the late Albert Cassity Sr. and the late Gracie Wavel (Higgins) Cassity.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (Jones) Cassity, wife of 60 years and 6 days, sons, Dr. David Cassity, wife Lisa of Benton, KY and Mark Cassity of Murray, KY, brothers, Anthony Cassity of Benton, KY, Bob Cassity of Cadiz, KY, Albert Cassity, Jr. of Hot Springs, AR, grandchildren, Julie Cassity of Paducah, KY, Will Cassity of Nashville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, James Cassity and George Cassity, sisters, Barbara Cassity Queen and Mildred Cassity.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Jack Kee officiating.
Interment will follow in Ferguson Springs Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home.
