Gordon P. Hancock of Sarasota, Florida and formerly of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed into his heavenly father’s arms Tuesday, August 12th, 2014. Gordon was an US Army Veteran and retired from Air Products in Calvert City, Kentucky in 1999. He was an avid collector of antique and hot rod cars and loved softball and NASCAR.

Gordon is survived by his children Debra Hancock of Bradenton, Florida, Charles Hancock (Marilynn) of Princeton, Kentucky and Pamela (Scott) Stone of Sarasota, Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren John Herdy of Bradenton, Florida; Jordon Stone of Denver, Colorado; Amanda Clark and family, Josh Hancock and family and Kayla Hancock and family all of Benton, Kentucky. He is survived by his brothers Joe Ray Hancock of LaFayette, Georgia,Tommy Hancock of Evansville, Indiana and sister Peggy Draffen of Benton, Kentucky . He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Mary Helen Venable Hancock. He was the son of the late Ray and Lorene Hunt Hancock.

Visitation will be at 12:30 till 2 pm. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, Kentucky.

Graveside services will be at Bethlehem Cemetery 133 Cemetery Road, Benton at 3 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2014.

Expressions of sympathy should be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
