Mr. Frankie Hill, age 80 of Sharpe, KY died on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at his home in Sharpe, KY.
Born Friday, April 27, 1934 in Sharpe , KY., he was the son of the late Frank Hall Hill and the late Lola Lela (Redden) Hill. A 1951 graduate of Sharpe High School, he was a Pipefitter with Plumbers and Pipefitters local 184 and was retired from Penwalt Chemical Company in Calvert City, KY . He was also a life long farmer. Mr. Hill was a member of the Maple Hill Church of Chirst.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Davida (Reed) Hill of Sharpe, KY., two sons, Kerry Franklin Hill, wife Lara of Symsonia, KY and Mark Brent Hill, wife Teresa of Sharpe, KY., one daughter, Debbie Croley, husband Pat of Sharpe, KY., eight grandchildren; Jared Croley of Central City, KY., Dustin Croley of Shape, KY., Shawn Croley, wife Amber of Aiken, SC., Andrew Hill of Boston, MA., Katy Hill of Norfolk, VA., Autumn Boyd, husband Gary of Sharpe, KY., Andrew Granstaff of Symsonia, KY., Katie Granstaff of Symsonia, KY., three great-grandchildren; Kirklyn Boyd of Sharpe, KY., Kolbe Boyd of Sharpe, KY., and Zoey Beth Croley of Sharpe, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terrell Hill, two sisters, Rosebud Bailey and Christine Hill.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Perry Lamb, David Lemmons will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Oakland Cemetery, Sharpe, KY.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Oakland Cemetery Association, 2183 Old Calvert City Rd., Calvert City, KY. 42029.
