Mr. David Cornwell, age 64 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Born Sunday, May 10, 1953 in Benton, KY, he was a member of Hardin Baptist Church. He was also a retired operator for General Tire and served honorably in the United States Army.
Mr. Cornwell is survived by his daughters, Jessica Doom of Benton, KY and Rachel Cornwell of Benton, KY, brothers, Travis Cornwell of West Virginia, Rusty Cornwell of Hardin, KY and Jewel Cornwell of Benton, KY, sisters, Patricia Cornwell of Benton, KY, Mary Vaughan of Benton, KY, Sheila Green of Benton, KY and Eva Peacock of Abingdon, IL.
Mr. Cornwell was preceded in death by brothers, Barry Cornwell, Chris Cornwell and Joe Cornwell, and sister, Jenny Cornwell. His parents were the late Dan Travis and Mildred (Walker) Cornwell.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 3, 2017 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, with Rev. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
