Mr. Danny E. Thompson, 76, of Murray, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Spring Creek Healthcare of Murray. Danny was born October 27, 1942 in Hardin, KY to the late Dewey Edward and Pocahontas Nance Thompson. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and veteran. He had a passion for reading God's word and a great love for music. Before Danny became ill he enjoyed making weekly visits to the local nursing home to visit with the residents and bring them their favorite treats. He was a retired machinist and a member of Scotts Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents Danny is preceded in death by his wife, Millie Thompson; a brother, John (Johnny) Thompson. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, David Thompson and wife Suzanne of Algonquin, Illinois; Michael Thompson of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Tommy Thompson and wife Tammy of Mayfield, Kentucky and Dewey Thompson of Hardin, Kentucky; a sister, Margie Jones of Calvert City, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Edward, Stephen, Daniel, Kenneth and Erica Thompson. Funeral services are set for 11 am Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Heritage Chapel, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Burial will follow in the West Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors between 5-8 pm, Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Heritage Chapel. Online condolences may be shared at www.imesfh.com.
