Chris “Bubba” T. Evans, 63, of Benton, Kentucky passed away at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at his residence.
Chris was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 21, 1955 to the late John T. and Bette Evans. He was a member of the Benton City Police Department for over 20 years and a member of the Fraternal Order or Police. Chris retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and then served in the Army Reserves and as a U.S. Marshal. He also worked as a park ranger at Ken Lake and Lake Barkley State Parks. Chris was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He was a very active and involved grandfather of 6 who loved watching his grandkids play sports.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Pigg and husband, Jason, of Benton; one son, Michael Evans and wife, Dana, of Benton; two brothers, John T. Evans, Jr. and wife, Donna, of Taylor, Michigan and Leo T. Evans and wife, Cheryl, of Fairdealing, Kentucky; six grandchildren, DJ Pigg, Lukas Pigg, Allie Pigg, Jadrien Evans, Jericoh Evans, and Dallas Evans, all of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will by held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Rev. Joel Frizzell and Rev. C.C. Brasher officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
