Cathey L. Nichols, age 54 of Gilbertsville, KY, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
Born Thursday, April 12, 1962 in Murray, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin Boone and Louise (Knight) Boone Griggs of Gilbertsville, KY. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her mother, her daughter, Amanda Travis, husband Tony of Gilbertsville, KY, grandson, Tucker Travis also of Gilbertsville, KY, step brothers, Stan Griggs of Calvert City, KY, Aubrey Griggs of Benton, KY, sister, Patricia Ann Logan, husband Neal of Henderson, KY, step-sisters Tina Burns of Benton, KY, and Wendy Griggs of Benton, KY. Two nieces, Shannon O'Nan of Henderson, KY, Samantha Martin of Henderson, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father, step father, Harold Wayne Griggs, by two brothers, Joseph Franklin Boone and Rollie Lee Boone.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Pastor Dale Greenwell and Bro. Charlie Canup will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Lakeview Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
