Carol Rae Garland

Ms. Carol Rae Garland, age 77 of Griffith, IN passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Tennova Heatlhcare-Volunteer Hospital in Martin, TN.



Born Sunday, March 5, 1939 in Hammond, IN, she was the daughter of the late Harold Lewis and the late Olive (Farr) Lewis. She was a retired Ward Clerk at St. Margaret's Hospital in Dyer, IN. She attended Olive Missionary Baptist Church.



Surviving are three daughters, Cary Alexander of Hardin, KY, Diana Spickard of Merrillville, IN and Kelly Nagy of St. John, IN, two sons, Brett Spickard of Virginia Beach, VA and Brad Spickard of North Judson, IN, two sisters, Diane Lewis of Irvine, CA and Robin Smolen of Anaheim, CA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.



Arrangements have been entrusted to the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY



A service celebrating the life of Carol Rae Garland will be held at a later date.
