Buford Lloyd Coursey, 96 of Murray, Kentucky died on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. Mr. Coursey was retired as a master welder at Penwalt, and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters local 1969 District 154. He was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church.

Born Thursday, September 5, 1918 in Marshall Co., Kentucky, he was the son of the late Raymond Coursey and the late Alice (Stom) Coursey.

Surviving are his wife, Mary (Pierce) Coursey of Murray, KY; daughters, Pat Frizzell, husband Don of Benton, KY and Burneda Coursey of Benton, KY; step children, Mickey Pierce of Florida, Ginger Nall of Murray, KY, Tammie Riggins of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Todd Larimer, wife Gina of Calvert City, KY, Brett Larimer, wife Rachelle of Paducah, KY, Tiffany Thompson, husband Mat of Benton, KY, Trent Frizzell of Benton, KY; and great grandchildren, Travis Thompson of Benton KY, Kylee and Hope Frizzell of Calvert City, KY, and Brennan and Brooke Larimer of Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Duard Coursey.

A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier and Rev. Don Wilson officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will follow in Dees Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
