Mrs. Ann Mathis Thweatt, 82 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
She was born Wednesday, December 5, 1934 in Benton, KY to the late Other and Gorda Creason Mathis. She was the wife of Barney Thweatt.
She retired from the Bank of Benton where she was a teller. She also retired from BF Goodrich and worked at Walmart for many years. She was a member of Central Church Of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Barney Thweatt of Benton, KY; one daughter, Natalie Bradley and husband Jason of Mayfield, KY; two step daughters, Gretchen Johnson and husband Stephen of Murfreesboro, TN, Shannon Copeland and husband Drew of Gilbertsville, KY; step son, Mark Thweatt of Hopkinsville, KY; two sisters, Mary Alice Johnston of Benton, KY, Gretta Morris of Murray, KY; nine grandchildren, Keagan Fendley and husband Kris of Anchorage, AK, Chelsea Holt and husband Austin of Mayfield, KY, Nikki Walton of Mayfield, KY, Cameron Bradley of MD, Dillon Bradley of Mayfield, KY, Nick Thweatt of Hopkinsville, KY, Crystal Fowler and husband Daniel of Hopkinsville, KY, Hillary Copeland of Gilbertsville, KY, Carly Copeland of Gilbertsville, KY; and three great grandchildren, Adley Walton, Annabella Walton and Kamdynn Thweatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, James Mathis, Dillard Mathis, Kayo Mathis, Cratus Mathis; and sister, Lucy Nell Tolbert.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Dr. Gene Gilland, Bro. Ricky Cunningham, and Wade Gillespie will officiate.
Interment will follow the service in the Soldier Creek Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
