Mrs. Agnes Virginia (Vincent) Mitchell, 79 of Benton, KY passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born September 25, 1940 in Greenville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Vincent and the late Velvie Inez (Yates) Vincent. She was dedicated to giving back to her church and her community. She was the past President of the Marshall County Homemakers, volunteered with her church providing meals to those unable to get out of their homes (Share a Meal) and worked tirelessly at the community Country Breakfast that is held one weekend in the month at Mt. Carmel UMC. She also volunteered at the New to You Shop in Benton, KY and provided her time and assistance with new commers to the community through the community Welcome Wagon. She was a dedicated member and worker of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons, Mark Mitchell of Topeka, KS and Jeff Revelette, wife Karla of Cushing, OK; daughters, Becky Williams of Benton, KY, Tammy Dickey of Benton, KY, Leesa Mitchell of Louisville, KY and Brenda Mitchell of Benton, KY; brothers, Paul Vincent of Greenville, KY, Ralph Vincent of Richmond, ME; sisters, Sue Jarvis of Owensboro, KY, Linda Wade of Shelbyville, KY, Opal Bush of Boca Raton, FL, Vonda Groves of Greenville, KY; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren also survive.
She joined those in heaven who had gone on before, her parents, her husband of 53 years, Walter Henry Mitchell; sons, Michael Kent Mitchell and Byron Edward "Ed" Revelette; brothers, Ferrell Vincent, Daniel Vincent, Frank Vincent, Fred Vincent and Raymond Lee Vincent; sister, Joyce Vincent.
A service celebrating the life of Agnes Virginia Mitchell will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Rev. Bill Lawson and Rev. Kim Morrison will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist, 1950 Big Bear Highway, Benton, KY 42025.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1950 Big Bear Highway, Benton, KY 42025.
