Rev. Ivan Leroy Judd, affectionately known as Mr. Ivan, age 72 of Hardin, KY passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at his home.
Born Monday, January 11, 1943 in Terre Haute, IN, he was the son of the late Ivan Earl Judd and the late Martha (Stringer) Judd.
A preacher for more than 40 years, he served churches in Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee and was the pastor at the Aurora Christian Church, Aurora, KY. He was a graduate of Lincoln Christian University, Lincoln, IL, where he earned a BA in Ministry. He was also a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, where he earned a MA in Theology. He served for many years on the board of the Ohio Valley Christian Camp. He also served 16 years as the vice president of the Humane Society of Marshall County and served many years with the Aurora Food Pantry and the Marshall County Needline. He and his wife owned and operated Kiddie Korner Learning Center in Benton for 25 years.
He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Carol (Scott) Judd of Hardin, KY., daughters, Judith Anne Edwards, husband Jeff of Eddyville, KY, Andreina Lynn Waller, husband Malcom of Moscow, TX and son Joseph Lee Judd, wife Leigh of Paducah, KY, brother; Richard A. Judd of Terre Haute, IN., grandchildren; Joshua Edwards and Jonathan Edwards, both of Louisville, KY, Jacob Edwards of Eddyville, KY, Matthew and Rebekah Waller both of Moscow, TX, Jailyn Taber, husband Devon of Webster, TX, Cody and Macie Kane both of Paducah, KY, great granddaughter, Jamisyn Skye Edwards of Louisville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his brothers, Robert Lee Judd, John Lee Judd and Delbert Ray Judd.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Aurora Christian Church, 30 Union Ridge Road, Benton, KY. Rev. Dave Collins will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Unity Cemetery, Hardin, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
