Mr. Marvin L Koon, age 75 of Grand Rivers, KY passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY.
Born Thursday, May 1, 1941 in Grand Rivers, KY, he was the son of the late Willard Koon and the late Mae (Collins) Koon. He was a retired from Averitt Lumber Mill and was a member of Lake City Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Linnie Heater Koon of Grand Rivers, KY, sons, Marty Koon of Grand Rivers, KY and Dennis Wade Koon of Kuttawa, KY, daughter, April Renea Clark of Paducah, KY, brothers, Robert Koon of Dycusburg, KY and Clyde Koon of Grand Rivers, KY, sister, Rebecca Springs of Grand Rivers, KY, four grandchildren; Alexandria McKenzie Clark, Colton Nicholas Clark, Michael Lee Koon, and Charlotte Denay Koon and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Frankie Koon and two sisters, Hazel Moneymaker and Charlene Moneymaker.
A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Randy Beals will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dixon Cemetery, Grand Rivers, KY.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
