Mrs. Martha Barnett, 88, of Murray died Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Mrs. Barnett was born May 19, 1928 in Hazel, KY to the late Terry and Lois Elaine Paschall Smotherman. She was a member of Hazel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, William Glen "Romeo" Barnett; a brother, James Lynn Smotherman; two sisters, Nancy Jones and Elaine Smotherman. Survivors include two sons, Michael Barnett (Jan) of Hazel, KY and Kenneth Barnett (Terri) of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Stacy Barnett Young, Tracy Suits (Matt), Robert Barnett (Emily), Sam Barnett, Brian Barnett, Kristin Barnett; a sister in law, Molly Farley of Eddyville, KY along with several nephews. Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Hazel Baptist Church. Jordan Roach will officiate. There will be no graveside service. The family will receive visitors between 5-8 PM Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray and between 9-11 AM Friday, November 18, 2016 at Hazel Baptist Church.
