Mr. James Edward “Jamie” Champion, Jr., 73, of Marion, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Crittenden Health Systems in Marion, KY.
Mr. Champion was a famer and a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Susan DeWitt-Champion; sons, Steve Champion (Eugena) and Scott Champion, both of Salem, KY; step-son, Ben Dyer, IV (Amy) of Hempstead, TX; step-daughters, Stephanie Hainsworth (Beau) of Kuttawa, KY, and Angela Meadows (Steve) of Henderson, KY; brother, Kenneth Champion (Pam) of Marion, KY; mother, Katherine Champion of Marion, KY; grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Champion of Marion, KY, Lane and Trent Champion of Salem, KY; step-grandchildren, Jordan Martin of Sturgis, SD, Nicolas Greenwell of Waverly, KY, Jacob Greenwell of Kuttawa, KY, Shelby Dyer of Rapid City, SD, Sara Beth Meadows of Henderson, KY, Benjamin Wright Dyer, V of Hampstead, TX, and Mason Dyer of Hempstead, TX; and great grandchildren, Ryder Greenwell and Clayton Hobson both of Henderson, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Champion, Sr.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2018, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.
