Evelyn “Babe” Smith, 85, of Smithland died on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Mrs. Smith was a retired cook and of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her four children, Maurita Jeffrey, Maurice Allen Smith Jr., Renee Mitchell, and Kevin Smith all of Smithland; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice Smith Sr.; her second husband, Chester Smith; two sisters; and one grandson. Her parents were Ostle Doom and Reba Ward Walker.
She will be cremated per her wishes and be buried by her husband at Grove’s Chapel Cemetery.
