Becky Hubbard, age 62, of Smithland, KY, died on August 7, 2017. Becky worked indirectly for the Corps of Engineers for the past 30 years as an independent contractor. Becky loved her Corps of Engineer family. She worked around Barkley Dam and at the Canal Campground, where she made friends from every state. Becky was of the Baptist faith.

Her parents were William (Bill) Cooper and Donna Jean Pendergrast Cooper. Survivors are her son, Christopher Wayne Doom, wife Brandy, her precious grandson that she raised and adored, Ryan Lynn Doom. Two very much loved step-grandsons, Steven Quertermous and Austin Fires and Bryar Fortner, which she loved as if he were her own grandson.

Her sister, Sheila Yates of Grand Rivers and nephew, Joey Lady and his children, Cheyenne, James and Zora.

Her brother, Eddie Cooper, wife Brenda, nieces, Ashley Hughes (Anthony) and Amy Cooper, and great niece, Miss Kenadie Hughes.

Her brother, Gary Cooper, wife Michelle, and step nieces, Ashley and Tammy Bratta.

She is also survived by three wonderful aunts, Shirley Jones, Gail Lynch, and Yvonne Millikan. along with too many cousins to mention.

Becky also leaves a lot of wonderful friends with special mention, Tom and Mary Rauls, her adopted family and their children, who treated Becky as if she was their daughter and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Donna Jean Cooper and her grandparents, Boyd and Myrtle Cooper, and Grundy and Nellie Pendergrast; also several aunts, two cousins and numerous friends.

Now a message from Becky: I want everyone I left behind, family and friends, including facebook friends to know I loved you all until the last beat of my heart. Most people go through life with only one best friend. I was blessed because I had several besties. Kathy, Diane, Rebecca, Rosy, Elaine, Ricky, Maxine, and I can't leave out Eric J.; they have been there with me through a lot over the years. Kathy, Diane, Eric, Rebecca, and Rosy have stuck with me through good and bad for over 40 years, never letting me go. That's true friends. I love all of my besties; we shared a lot of secrets that I can say I'll never tell. I'll take our secrets to my grave, lol. Keep laughing. I'm going home to be with my Lord God and family. God has plans for all of us and I have fulfilled what he meant for me to do here on earth. I fought hard and got tired, so I took His hand and went home, and I will reunite with you all someday. But, in the meantime, live and love your lives like everyday is your last, and I'll watch over you with open wings.

And to Ryan, my grandson, be that special man I know you are meant to be; make me prouder than I already am, and "I love you more".

If you see my family, give them a hug and a special hug for Ryan and Chris. Go live your life and enjoy every minute you have with the ones you love, because tomorrow has no promises that you or your loved ones will be there. I'm lucky because I get the chance to tell you all goodbye and I love you. And I got to write my own obituary; how awesome is that, lol.

Until we meet again, keep laughing your way through life!

Hugs and Kisses...
