Mrs. Sylvia Lynn Darnall, 89 of Benton, KY died on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. She was a homemaker and member of North Marshall Church of Christ.
Born Tuesday, December 3, 1929 in Paducah, KY, she was the daughter of the late Archie Edgar Johnston and the late Ola Marie (Bradley) Johnston Young.
Surviving are son, Stephen Lee Darnall of Benton, KY, daughter, Rhonda Lynn Beard, husband Dennis of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Andrea Hays of Grand Rivers, KY, great-grandchildren, Lily Hays and Levi Hays of Grand Rivers, KY, Annie Beard and Blake Beard of Benton, KY, and step-grandchild, Jack McKnight Jr. of Knoxville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon Lee Darnall, and grandson, Andy Beard.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Jim Long and Gary Knuckles officiating.
Interment will follow in Sharpe Church of Christ Cemetery, Sharpe, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
