Sonja “Susan” Anglin, 58, of Grand Rivers departed from this life on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 7:00pm at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center surrounded by her family and friends.
Susan was a 1976 graduate of Ohio County High School, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and had worked for Walmart, BB&T Bank, and the County Clerk’s Office in Smithland, KY.
Surviving is her husband, Donald Anglin of Grand Rivers; one son, Andrew Anglin of Grand Rivers, one stepdaughter, Christy Conatser of Shepardsville, KY; one stepsister, Joan Whittinghill of Hartford, KY; one grandson, Caleb Conatser of Shepardsville, KY; one niece, Donna (Jeff) Fox of Salem, KY; two nephews, Scott (Amy) Phelps of Beaver Dam, KY, John (Dee) Phelps of Rumsey, KY; two great-nephews, Austin and Cameron Phelps of Beaver Dam, KY; one great-niece, Jasmine Phelps of Rumsey, KY; and two very special friends, Melissa Meyers of Smithland, Rhonda Kempf of Cadiz, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Phelps and Anna Mae Walker Arnette; one stepbrother, Terry Arnette; her foster parents, Clayton and Mildred Reed; one sister, Patricia Long; one brother, Bill Phelps; and one great-nephew, Matthew Phelps.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. William Skinner and Mark Brannam, the 4th floor of Lourdes Hospital, and the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center for the care and compassion you gave to her and the family.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Grand Rivers.
