Mrs. Rachel Leigh Welch, 52 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, November 1, 2019, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Born Friday, October 20, 1967 in Marshall County, KY, she was the daughter of Franklin Futrell and Charlotte (Davis) Futrell of Benton, KY.
She loved being surrounded by her friends and family more than anything. Gifting those around her with love and an array of baking.
A major milestone in her life, she was a 19 year double transplant survivor. She was secure in her faith. She attended and was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.
She was a 1985 graduate of Marshall County High School, attended Murray State University, studying accounting and finance.
Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Ronald "Gene" Welch, Jr., dog, Canton, daughter, Katie Dziuk, husband Gary of Woodbury, TN, grand dog, Boone, sisters, Christy Love-Fortenbery, husband Craig of Benton, KY and Vanessa Stevens, husband Tracy of Gilbertsville, KY; nieces, Amelia Kaye Stevens of Gilbertsville, KY, Ali Beasley, husband Steffin of Sharpe, KY, nephews, Seth Fortenbery, wife Ashley of Washington, D.C., Zach Fortenbery of Lexington, KY; great nephew, Beckham Beasley of Sharpe, KY; father and mother-in-law, Ron and Myra Welch of Benton, KY, brother-in-law, Eric Welch, wife Misty of Benton, KY.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 3, 2010 at Sharpe Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.
