Charlotte Ann Sharp Potts, beloved mother, sister, and friend, 64, of Paducah, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the home of her sister.
Charlotte was born in Joy, KY on March 13, 1952, the youngest of the twelve children of Lewis Elmer and Annie Yuple Phillips Sharp. She was a 1970 graduate of Livingston Central High School. Charlotte was a social, outgoing and enthusiastic person who made friends easily. These personality traits enabled Charlotte to enjoy a long-term career in the food service industry, including stints at Embers and Jeremiah’s, where she made lifelong friends. In addition, she worked for Wal-Mart and CVS as a photo lab technician. Lately, her days were spent being a doting grandmother to her grandson, Gabriel. She will be remembered for her warmth, hospitality and ready smile.
She is survived by two children, Tara Potts of Washington, D.C. and Brent Potts of Burna, KY; her grandson, Robert Gabriel Potts of Burna, KY; and her siblings, Dorisie Riepe, Mary Perino, Janet Heath, Phyllis Thompson, and Kenneth Sharp.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lewis and Annie Sharp; and siblings, Odell Sharp, Ann McDowell, Thomas Sharp, Imogene Mann, Loretta Bottoms, and Darlene Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Livingston County.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
