Beverly Jewell Johnson

Mrs. Beverly Jewell (Wilson) Johnson passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center. Beverly was born in Livingston County, Kentucky to U.B. and Katie Belle (Ramage) Wilson on June 26, 1935. She was a graduate of Salem High School; and a graduate of University of Louisville as a registered nurse, who worked for Burkhart Health Clinic for over 25 years. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church who enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and genealogy. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Laura Gordon and her husband Glenn of Salem; three grandchildren, Sarah Gordon of Salem, Zeb Gordon and his wife Jessie of Ledbetter, Johnson Gordon of Hopkinsville; and one brother, Dean Wilson and his wife Nona of Oneida, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Johnson; brothers, Ernie C. Wilson and Carl Wilson; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Rev. Joel Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow in Pinckneyville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sarah Gordon, Johnson Gordon, Zebulon Gordon, Brian Wilson, Larry Wilson, and Kenny Asbridge. Friends may call from 11 AM until the funeral hour Saturday at the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
