Joyce Hales

Mrs. Velda Joyce Sweezy Hales, age 83 of Clinton passed away 9:50 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Clinton-Hickman Co. ICF Nursing Home.  She is a member of Clinton First United Methodist Church and a homemaker.  She is survived by her daughter, Lynne (Randy) Deweese of Clinton; 2 Grandchildren, Jason (Renea) Schwartz and Andrea (Michael) Williford both of Clinton; 7 Great Grandchildren, Cole and Dallas Williford, Allison Lemons, Kimberly Schwartz, Kelsey Gargus, Ashley Jones, Jordan Maxwell and Mason Whitten and 3 Great Great Grandchildren, Lucy Dru Gargus, Lainey Jaymes Jones and Finley Lemons.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, R.E. Hales; Parents, Walter Sweezy and Myrl Ferguson Shipp and Son, Robert Hales, Jr.  Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Alex Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
