John Wesley McDonald, age 93, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at ICF Nursing Home in Clinton, KY.
A Hickman County native, he was a retired dairy farmer and a member of The Meeting House in Columbus.
Mr. McDonald was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in the Pacific theater in World War II, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann Marlow McDonald, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Bailey McDonald and Sudie Marine McDonald, as well as a brother, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Howard Erisman and Daniel McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
