Edward “Lovett” McCoy Knox, 60, Clinton, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015, 8:15 pm, at his residence.
He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Oakton where he sang in the church choir, a graduate of Hickman County High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Edward was formerly employed at Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and the Crisp Tree Service.
Edward is survived by his mother, Armentha “Dolly” Marie Knox of Clinton; one daughter, LaJonna Marie Knox of Clinton; two granddaughters; six step-children, Sylvia, Paula, Christal, Antonio, Brandon and Tammy; three brothers, Cornelius Knox of Clinton, Danny Ray Knox and Barry Knox, both of Paducah; two sisters, Doris Dalton of Peoria, IL and Janice K. Thomas of Paducah; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Knox; a brother, Reginald David Knox and one nephew.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, 1:00pm, at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Oakton. Reverend Anthony Johnson will officiate and burial with Military Rites will be in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
