Mr. CB McKinney, age 88 of Mayfield, Ky passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 4:23 PM at the Heritage Manor Healthcare Center in Mayfield.
He was a member of the Pryorsburg Baptist Church, he was a retired loader operator from KT Clay Company after 44 years, and he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, he was also a member of the D.A.V.
Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife of 68 years- Martha Sanderson McKinney of Mayfield, Ky; son- Terry McKinney of Mayfield, Ky; son- Johnny Dean McKinney of Mayfield, Ky; daughter- Doris Ann (John) Poole of Mayfield, Ky; daughter- Claudia Marie (Jonathan) Thompson of Gilbertsville, Ky; daughter- Joanna (Jonathan) Wyatt of Benton, Ky; brother- Burt O. McKinney of Wingo, Ky; ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandson- John Bryant McKinney; parents- Bryant McKinney & Ophelia Brooks McKinney Wilford.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky with Rev. Jimmy Stairs officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky.
Military Graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.
