Willie Diggs

Mr. Willie Diggs, 83, of Murray, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Mr. Diggs was born on November 24, 1933 to Margaret E. Coats and Rosco Diggs. He accepted Christ at an early age, and was faithful through his illness. He was a member of The Church of the Living God CWFF where he was a member of the choir, male chorus and the trustee board. In 1964 he was married to the former Joy Dorothy Olive. This union to the love of his life lasted 52 years until the Lord called him home. In addition to his wife, Willie leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Sherry (Fred) Porter of Paris, TN, Alicia Michelle Lewis of Clarksville, TN; two grandchildren, Kanecia Porter of Omaha, NE, Kayla Porter of Jackson, TN; one great grandchild, Ethan Blake Duffy; four sisters in law, three brothers in law and a host of cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Diggs are scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray. T.L. Taylor will officiate and burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery. His family will receive visitors from 5-7 PM on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the funeral home.
