Warren Edward Pickering, 72, of Boaz, passed away at 2:51 am on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Baptist Health-Paducah while surrounded by his family.
Warren was born in Harrisburg, Illinois on September 3, 1945 to Edward Kassner Pickering and Maebelle (Riddle) Pickering. He retired from Hobby Lobby. Warren enjoyed flower gardening, and shared cuttings from his favorite plants and flowers that thrived even in brutal conditions. He adored his dogs, Peanut (his favorite), Honey (mother), and Popeye and Olive Oyl (newborn puppies).
Surviving are his loving family, daughter, Kristi (Chris) Tilley of Tipp City, Ohio; granddaughter, Brianna Tilley; brother, Dewayne (Cheri) Pickering; and nephew, Josh Pickering.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday evening, June 30, 2018 from 5-7pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Graveside services for Warren will be held at 2pm Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Dillingham Community Church & Cemetery near Harrisburg, Illinois. Rev. Mike Nolen will officiate.
