Shirely Jean Herndon, 81, of Hickory, KY passed away at 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at AdamsPlace, Murfreesboro, TN. Shirley was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a graduate of Reidland High School in 1954. She was a bookkeeper for several area businesses in Paducah.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenna Wright and husband, Michael of Murfreesboro, TN, Leigh Ann Pepin and husband, Jason of Hermitage, TN; one son Greg Herndon and wife, Amelia of Hickory, KY; four grandchildren, Kayla Brown and husband, Bart of Rockvale, TN, Chris Wright and wife, Brittany of Christiana, TN, Liz Dintelmann and husband, Matt of Mayfield, KY and Barry Herndon and wife, Haley of Lexington, KY; four great-grandchildren, Bentley Brown, Branson Wright, Landon Brown and Sawyer Kate Dintelmann.
Preceding in death was her husband of 58 years, Donald Gene Herndon; parents, Weldon Trent Riley & Allene Tyree Riley.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Cole Cemetery in Marshall County with Dr. Jeff Wallace officiating. There will be no visitation.
