Mr. Roger D. Wilson, age 56, of Benton, KY, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his home.
Born Thursday, March 16, 1961, in Mayfield, KY, he was an Agriculture Supervisor for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. He was employed with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for 31 years. He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, KY.
He enjoyed dinners out with his wife and friends, watching movies, quiet time at home, and was an animal lover. He also enjoyed going on beach vacations, sitting around the pool, and was an avid sports fan - especially University of Kentucky Basketball.
Surviving is his wife of 16 years, to whom he was married June 12, 2001, Sandra (Davis) Wilson of Benton, KY; two sons, Roger David Wilson of Fancy Farm, KY and Rusty Wilson of Fancy Farm, KY; daughter, Andrea (Lane) Jones and husband Zack of Gilbertsville, KY; his mother, Linda (Bennett) Wilson of Paducah, KY, one brother, Greg Wilson and wife Mary of Mayfield, KY; and one sister, Pam Anderson of Paducah, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Albert Wilson; son, Brandon Davis Lane; and brother-in-law, Randy Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Kerry Lambert and Father Darrell Venters will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
