Peyton Nicole Hurt, 15, of Boaz, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Peyton was born in Paducah on July 31, 2002 to Chaney and Amy Hurt.  Described as a diverse spirit, Peyton enjoyed wide ranging interests in music, fashion and hobbies.  She was a self-taught painter who lost herself in her artistic pursuits.  She had a beautiful singing voice and often entertained her family, especially while in the car.  She adored her siblings and nephews and likewise they were drawn to her contagious laughter.  She was a serious gift giver who planned special occasions to the detail, but often out of excitement gave away the gifts well in advance of the occasion.  Peyton was drawn to people who were heartbroken and suffering with the desire to help ease their pain. She was devoted to her ministry through her membership at Grace Fellowship Church.   Due to Peyton’s expressed wish to be an organ donor, seven recipients have already had their health issues lessened through her generosity.

She is survived by her parents, Chaney Harper Hurt and Amy Beth Ferren Hurt; siblings, Emilye Hurt, Corey Hurt (Chelsey Bates) and Parker Graves and fiancé Jasmine Brooks; nephews, Christopher Graves and Blake Graves; Grandparents, Wanda Hurt, and Sheri and Bobby Ferren; great-grandmother, Josephine Taylor; aunt, Tiffen (David) Cox; cousins, Coy Cox and Evan Cox; and many extended family members.

Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Rick “Daddy Rick” Hurt and great-grandfather, Richard Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Brother Kevin Gaunce officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.

Peyton believed in the ministry of Lifeline Ministries and Ladies Living Free, who both strive to help parents rebuild relationships with their children.  Because of this, donations are requested to Lifeline Ministries, 2806 Morgan Lane, Paducah, KY 42001.
