Mrs. Linda Young, 78, of Dexter, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her home.
Linda was born in Calloway County on August 11, 1940 to the late James Wesley Jones and Elsie Store Jones. She was a member of Dexter Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Pat Jones.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Willie Robert Jones of Dexter; a son, Steve Young (Roslyn) of Murray; four daughters, Debbie Ahart of Almo, Rhonda Kay Darnell (Randy) of Mayfield, Janet Renea Hendrick of Dexter, Deidra Ann Allred (Kevin) of Mayfield, a brother, Phillip Reed Jones (Vickie) of Almo; a sister, Wilma Lou Birdsong (Jerry) of Murray; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The funeral service is set for 11 AM on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray. Richard Burkeen and Russell Dunn will officiate and burial will follow at Brooks Chapel Cemetery in Dexter.
Her family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the funeral home.
