Lee Langdon, 77, of Symsonia, KY passed away at 5:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born in St. Louis, MO and had lived in Philadelphia and Southern Illinois. Lee was retired from Sears where he work in retail sales and management. He was a member of Oaks Church of God for several years. After his retirement from Sears, Lee had his own Real Estate office in Southern Illinois and sold jewelry and diamonds in Paducah for various jewelry stores. Lee was a gardener, raising and planting beautiful flowers was what he loved to do. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Lee is survived by his wife, Sue Reid Langdon of Symsonia, KY; sons, Bill Langdon and wife Patti of Portland, OR and John Staples and wife Jeanna of Sharpe, KY; sister, Leila Rivers and husband Bob of Maple Park, IL; grandchildren, Katie Langdon of Portland, OR, Benjamin Staples, Elizabeth Staples and Alexander Staples all of Sharpe, KY; sister-in-law, Mary J. McLeod of Benton, KY and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Leona Reid and a brother, Troy McLeod. His parents were Leo Langdon and Gladys Maxwell Langdon.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
