John Marshall Harrison, age 95, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 6:00 a.m. at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. He was a native of the Olive Community of Marshall County and a retired farmer. He was a lifelong member of Olive United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vera Watkins Harrison; sister, Mary Brooks Walker and brother-in-law, John Edd Walker.
Mr. Harrison is survived by a niece, Sharon Walker Howard and great nephew, Gabe Crawford.
Services for Mr. Harrison will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at Olive United Methodist Church Cemetery, Olive, KY.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Collier Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Olive United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Wendell Norwood, 3504 Old Olive Rd., Benton, KY 42025.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
