John H. Lowery, age 73, of Paducah, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, 10:30 a.m., at his residence.
He was a member of Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries where he served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by three daughters, Crystal Marks of Goodlettsville, TN, Laronda Lowery of Louisville, and Valerie Martin of Frederick, MD; two sons, Jon B. Lowery of Fayetteville, AR and Armond J Johnson of Paducah; one sister, Gloria Ferguson of Paducah; one brother, J.C. ,(Clyde) Lowery, Jr. of Cleveland. OH; nine grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Lowery and Sophie Parson Lowery; his wife, Mary Ezell Lowery; one sister and one brother.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Ninth Street Tabernacle Ministries with Reverend Thaddyeus W. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, April 23, 2018,
11:30 a.m., in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.
Friends may also call on the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
