James Eldon (Red) Crawford, age 90, of Mayfield, KY died at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 31, 2015 at his residence. Eldon affectionately known to his loving grandchildren as Pap Pa was a member of the Northside Church of Christ, was a retired snack foods salesman, and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years; Charlene (Long) Crawford of Mayfield; a daughter – Vicki (Randy) Boggess of Mayfield; sons - Mark (Cathy) Crawford of Mayfield and Michael (Tibha) Crawford of Madison, AL; a brother – Kenneth (Sue) Crawford of Fulton, KY; grandchildren – Shane Boggess, Brian Boggess, Adam Crawford, Ryan Crawford & Anjalee Crawford; great-grandchildren – Ty Boggess, Caden Boggess & Seth Boggess.
He was preceded in death by an infant son – Richard Crawford; 4 sisters and 1 brother. His parents were James Alfred & Algie (Hart) Crawford.
Funeral services for Eldon will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Mike Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Wingo Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2015.
The Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
