Mrs. Helen Smith, 78, of Murray passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Anna Mae Owen Hospice House. Mrs. Smith was born January 9, 1939 at Chapel Hill, North Carolina to the late Clyde Robert and Mary Kay Cotton Strowd. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Smith; two sons, Julius D. Smith and James L. Smith. Survivors include a son, David Q. Smith of Murray; a daughter, Jean C. Smith of Murray; two daughters-in-law, Tina Harris Smith of Queens, New York and Tiza Bundrant of Bronx, New York; 10 grandchildren, Julian Smith, Janay Smith, Monice Smith, DeAnna Smith, Jordan Smith, James L. Smith ll, Eboni Jones Cale, Quissia Walker, Derryauna Hudsbeth, Jessica McDaniel and four great grandchildren, Jay'Dynn Darcus, Elijah Jones, Jariah Hampton and Kameryn Cole. Funeral hour is set for 3 PM Monday, February 13, 2017 at 3 PM at Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray. The family will receive visitors from 12-3 PM Monday, February 13, 2017 at the funeral home
