Mrs. Dora Jean Stringer, age 75 of Hickory, KY died on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Born Wednesday, March 15, 1939 in Hickory, KY, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Glisson and the late Mary Glisson. She was the wife of the late Harvy J. Stringer. She was a member of Liberty Baptist.
Surviving are son, Gary Miller and his wife Kathy of Folsomdale, KY, daughters, Vicki Guill and her husband Steve of Hickory, KY and Karen Curd and her husband Jimmy of Farmington, KY, brothers, Larry Glisson and his wife Rose of Fancy Farm, KY and Ronnie Glisson and his wife Gayle of Melber, KY, and sister, Dorothy Smith of Symsonia, KY; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son, one daughter, one brother, one sister, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Windell Lain officiating. Burial will follow Provine Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2014 between the hours of 11:00 am until service time 2:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
