Mr. Craig A. Olsen, 68, of New Concord, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah. Craig was born November 9, 1948 in Hammond, IN to the late Martin Lane and Agnes Katherine Kinsman Olsen. He honorably served in Vietnam as a US Navy "Sea Air and Land" team member and later retired from the US Air Force. Craig graduated from Murray State's School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and later retired from the Henry County Medical Center. He was of Catholic faith. Craig was an avid golfer (scored a hole-in-one at Murray Country Club) and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and nearly any outdoor adventure. He is survived by his wife, Marianne Fogarty Olsen, to whom he was married November 14, 1970; two daughters, Rachel Cerini (Richard) of Germany and Natalie Olsen Haas (Michael) of Splendora, TX; a brother, Martin L. Olsen, Jr of San Antonio TX. and six grandchildren, Morgan Lane, Madison Leigh, Isabella Grace, Nicholas Anthony, Elayna Danielle and Colton Michael Haas. In addition to his parents, Craig was preceded in death by a sister, Janis Berkowicz and a brother, Bruce Olsen. The family will receive visitors from 2-6 PM, Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray. Reflections and prayers will begin at 5 PM followed by military honors presented by American Legion Post 73. Interment will follow at a later date at the families plot near Hammond, IN.
