Buck Moore of Paducah, formerly from Kankakee, IL, was born in Durant, Mississippi to the late A.C Gamble and Ezekiel Moore on October 4, 1929, and passed from this physical world on May 31, 2019 at the age of 89 at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal and Bronze Star.
After retiring, Buck felt called to serve God and was baptized and then ordained by Reverend Nunn of the First Christian Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. He later assisted Pastor Danny Chandler of New Faith Baptist Church in Kankakee, Illinois.
In the years preceding Buck's passing, he was affiliated with Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church, Paducah, Kentucky.
Buck was united in marriage to Elizabeth Francis McGrew who preceded him in death.
Surviving him is one daughter; Mickela (Juergen Teubenbacher); two sons; Allyn (Cheryl), Jerome; grandchildren; Cydney, Zackery and Camyrn, numerous cousins including Ruthie Mae Walker, friends and other acquaintances.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019, 5:00 P.M. at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Raynarldo Henderson officiating.
