Bobby Elwood Garnett, 80, of Boaz, Kentucky passed away at 11:29 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at Mercy Health Lourdes. He was born in Graves County, Kentucky. Bobby was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. Bobby enjoyed farming, row cropping, raising mixed breed cattle and the being in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Robbie Jones Garnett; their children; Bobby Greg Garnett and wife, Robin of Bardwell, KY, Kimberly Jane Garnett Sublett and husband Ken of Boaz, KY, Douglas Garnett and wife, Lisa of Hickory, KY and Dacia Garnett Beard and husband, Duane of Hickory, KY; one sister, Laura Sue Cashon and husband, Jerry of Hickory, KY; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two nieces, Heather Dean and husband, Kamu and Valerie Cashon and husband Brian.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Irie Franklin Garnett and Beatrice Rives Garnett and one grandson, Drew Beard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Summerville officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
