James Edward Bransford, age 95, of South Fulton, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016, 9:13 a.m., at Tennova Healthcare Volunteer Martin of Martin, T N.
He was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in South Fulton, where he served as deacon. He was retiree of the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, TN where he worked as Mold and Bladder machine cleaner.
He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Bransford Gholson of Fulton, KY; one son, James (Jimmy) H. Bransford of Lansing, MI; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Johnson-Bransford; parents, Jim Bransford and Oma Payne Bransford; a daughter, Barbara K. Bransford; five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, March 28, 2016, 1:00 pm, at House of Prayer Pentecostal Church in Fulton with Reverend Edmond Bruton officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens in Fulton.
Friends may also call at the church on Monday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
