Willie F. Guhy, age 86, of Milburn, returned to his heavenly home on February 19, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Willie was born to the late Johnny and Bertha Guhy in Milburn, KY on November 11, 1930.  In 1956, he married the love of his life, Diane Crider, and together they raised four children.  Willie was a heavy equipment operator and also owned Willie & Sons Service Station in Milburn.  Later in life, he served as the Carlisle County Magistrate for the Milburn District for 16 years and worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department as assistant foreman for 8 years.  However, those that knew understood that Willie was always a farmer at heart.

Willie loved people, and never met a stranger.  He had a love for Comet basketball that was rivaled only by his love for Mayfield Cardinal basketball.  He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate that he is at peace with his Creator.

Willie is survived by his wife of 60 years, Diane Crider Guhy; two daughers, Tammye Guhy Larkins (Calvin) of Cunningham and Amy Guhy Goldsmith (Glynn) of Milburn; two sons, Scott Guhy (Amy) of Milburn and Chris Guhy (Mitzi) of Mayfield; 8 grandchildren, Kristen Larkins Regenold (Mike) of Collierville, TN, Casey Larkins Burnett (Bryan) of Collierville, TN, Jessica Marie Rudolph (Jason) of Milburn, Tanner Scott Guhy of Cunningham, Luke Guhy of Louisville, Jake Guhy of Louisville, Jon Derek Goldsmith (Torey) of Milburn and Allee Goldsmith of Milburn; 7 great- grandchildren, Larkin, Leighton and Olive Burnett, Rhett Fuller and Cora Regenold, Taytum Guhy and Caroline Goldsmith.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Henry “Johnny” Guhy and Bertha Truman Wooley Guhy; 7 sisters and 5 brothers.

Funeral services for Willie Guhy will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Milburn United Methodist Church with Rev.  Jonathon Althoff officiating.  Burial will follow in Milburn Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Milburn United Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 and from 9:00 AM until the service time on Wednesday.
