Thomas Eugene “Eugie” Jones, Sr., 71, of Bardwell, Kentucky passed at 10:49 A.M. Friday, February 15, 2019 at the University Hospital of Columbia, Missouri.
Thomas was born in Columbus, Kentucky on November 12, 1947 to the late Charlie and Lillie Mae Jones. He was a self-employed truck driver for the past 50 years. He loved watching old time westerns and Nascar racing. He was a proud Vietnam Army veteran and member of the Columbus Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son Thomas “Tommy” Jones, Jr. and wife Brenda, of Paducah; two sisters, Jean Trapp, of Lawrenceburg, TN and Betty Allen, husband Jerry, of Arlington; two brothers, Jesse Jones, wife Glenda, of Arlington and Rowland Jones, of Bardwell; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Austin, Alexander and Alyssa Tinajero, all of Bardwell, Cody Jones, of Arlington, Dillyn Jones, of Paducah, Thomas Jones, III, of Arlington, Abriella Davis, of Paducah, and Ambur Frizzell, of Clarksville, TN; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loetta Murphy Jones; his daughter, Teresa Jones; his parents; two sisters, Mary Jackson and Sue Williford; and two brothers, Billie Jones and Blanton Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. Glen Stewart and Bro. Tim Stinston officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Hickman County, KY.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
