Steve Summers, age 66, of Cunningham, passed away on February 21, 2019 at his residence.
Steve was born on May 5, 1952 in Paducah to Alton and Marguerite Mason Summers. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Machine Shop Foreman, most recently with James Marine, Incorporated in Wickliffe. Steve served honorably in the United States Army National Guard. He loved tractors and working in the machine shop he had at his home. He immersed himself into the study of mechanics and enjoyed learning how things operated and how to fix them. He was known as a hard working family man and loved his family dearly.
Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Goin Summers; two sons, Stevan Summers and wife, Roben of Waynesboro, Virginia and David Pace and wife, Jennifer of West Paducah one daughter, Sandy Summers Fischbach and husband, Philipp of Hendersonville, Tennessee; and; two sisters, Lynda Morris of Cunningham and Delilah Vail of Benton; one brother, Robert Summers of Chattanooga, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Emily Pace, Gavin Pace, Dylan Pace, Hallie Mills and Mason Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Cunningham Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mary Lou Wurth officiating.
