Ransom “Lew” Collins, 77, died at Baptist Health Sunday, December 7, at 11:30 a.m.

 

He was of the Baptist faith, a United States Army veteran who served in Korea and Germany, a steel worker for Pittsburg Steel, and a retired truck driver.  He was also a member of VFW Post 549 and the American Legion Post 31.  He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Edwards of Fort Smith, AR and Rhonda Cook of Paducah; his son, Michael Collins of Bardwell; his sister, Mary Ruth Horton of Mayo, FL; his brother, Willis Dean Sullenger, Sr. of TN; his step daughters, Darlene Hockenberry of Grove City, PA, Debbie Robinson of Grove City, PA, Deena Edward of Greenville, PA, Kendra Hockenberry of Mercer, PA, and Lisa Schumacher of Hartord, OH; step sons, Tim Rhoades of Loveland, OH and Jerry Rhoades of Mercer, PA; thirty one grandchildren and forty three great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransom Last Collins and Lula Mae Webb; his son, Todd Collins.

 

Services will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jamie Lee officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, December 10 from 10:00 a.m. till service time.  Burial will be at a later date.
