Phillip Hunt, age 79, of Cunningham, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 at his residence.
He was a former teacher, coach, banker and farmer. He worked and loved every inch of their family farm in Cunningham. He was a lifelong member of Corinth United Methodist Church. His friendship was treasured by many and he was always quick to greet friends with a joke. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and an adoring great- grandfather.
Phillip Hunt is survived by his wife of 59 years Lucy Holman Hunt, a daughter ReNea Riddle and husband Andy of Cunningham and a son, Marsh Hunt and wife Jill of Cunningham, and four grandchildren Lucian Rogers and wife Ashley of Mayfield, Joseph Hunt and wife Whitney of Cunningham, Leslie Cope and husband Kevin of Kevil and Anna Draper and husband Dirk of Cunningham. He leaves behind 5 great-grandchilren, Ella, Abbie, Holman, Dean and Emmy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Isabella Hayes Hunt and Marshall Hunt.
Funeral services for Phillip Hunt will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Eddie Smith and Rev. Randy Story officiating and burial in Cunningham Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Saturday, November 26, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell and starting after 10:00 am Sunday until the funeral hour.
