Michael W. Lee, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at his home on Friday, January 18, following a battle with cancer.
Mike was born on February 5, 1945 to Hazle and Wenna Mae (Pope) Lee of Arlington. He was a graduate of Carlisle County High School and Murray State University with a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Education. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 41 years of service. He was a member and trustee of Arlington United Methodist Church. Mike had a gift for carpentry. He loved to be outdoors, growing a vegetable garden, planting trees and fishing in his pond. He also enjoyed being at home and taking care of his farm. He had a true love for nature.
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Muscovalley Lee; three daughters, Laurie Bone and husband Mike of Cunningham, Susan Lee of Hickory, Amy Dennis and husband Stonnie of Winchester; six grandchildren, Lauren Barclay, Dylan Bone and wife Breana, Austin Bone and wife Laiken, Nicholas Dennis, George Dennis, Charlotte Dennis; three great-grandchildren, Avery, Cohen and Ensley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. Keith Osborne and Rev. Janean Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
