Lou Dean Sims, 83, of Arlington, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Gaither Suites.

 

Lou Dean was born on June 29, 1935 to the late Perry and Mary Powell Strong.  She was supervisor with Bell South for 34 years before retiring out the Paducah office.  She was a member of Milburn Church of Christ and the Milburn Homemakers.  She and her husband Wayne were owner and operator of Sims Gas and Go Station and Smacks Restaurant in Milburn.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Denise Evitts and husband, Ronnie of Milburn, Janice Vaden and husband, Mark of Milburn;  five grandchildren, Carrie Evitts of Milburn, Matt Vaden (April) of Milburn, Sara Jacobs (Tony) of West Paducah, Kimberly Evitts of Milburn; two great-grandchildren, James Williams and Abby Warren of Milburn.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Wayne Sims, her parents, and granddaughter, Brandy Evitts.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday January 10, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Richie Spann, John Dale and Glenn Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow at Milburn Cemetery. 

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
